Harrisburg gunman who killed York County US Marshal had a long criminal history 31-year-old Kevin Sturgis died in a gun fight with police on Thursday after killing Hill and wounding York City police officer Kyle Pitts. Pennlive reported that a Philadelphia sentencing memorandum showed Sturgis was supposed to be sentenced in January 2017 for illegal possession of a handgun.
